Crazy Norah

Just a snapshot of the joy shares with us!

Just after naptime today...

Shiloah looked so cute after her nap today that I decided to take some pictures. The other girls wanted to share their own little poses, too. Funny, funny girls.

The Bunk Beds are IN!

During our beach vacation this summer we had bunk beds for the big girls and we discovered that it worked out quite well! Besides the fact that they LOVE sleeping in the same room and in their very cool bunks, it gives us our own bedroom for the first time since Norah was born! There are not words to describe how thrilled we are to have our own bedroom. The combination of a baby in your room + loud, squeaky wood floors = tiptoeing around, no lights on when the baby was sleeping, not being able to get dressed in the morning until she woke up (or bringing our clothes out to the bathroom the night before), and listening to every single sound she made. That last one was just me, Corey only heard the screaming... once in a while.

Our new table

Our wonderful friends the Moseleys made us a beautiful kitchen table and it was installed on Saturday! Isn't it beautiful? The girls love sitting at it. It's not very deep but that's because our kitchen isn't big enough for anything more. It's just exactly enough for two people, two stools, two plates and two cups. That's it.

It also serves as a place for the girls to eat uninterrupted by Norah. That might be the best feature right now!

Daddy's Girls

Aren't they so sweet?

Sharing the Sand Table

,

The weather has shifted very suddenly and is now perfectly fall! We are trying to play outside as much as possible in anticipation for the upcoming cold and rainy weather. It was sunny and a crisp 80 degrees today. It doesn't get much better than that!

Norah has begun enjoying a paci, we think it's because she's teething again. But it looks so cute!

Playing in the basement

The big girls incorporated Norah into their dollhouse playtime this morning. Norah had a pair of Polly Pocket legs and was trampling them all over the house. Shiloah and Hannah would say, "Ah! It's a monster! Help!" They love the game of Damsel in Distress. I guess all women do. :)

Joan can read!

Could this be any cuter?

Mill Mountain Zoo

Joan and Bill took us to the Mill Mountain Zoo the other day. It's a pretty small zoo and one of the two most exciting things was the bird exhibit. You can be right there with the exotic birds. One was particularly interesting because it was taking it's food and dipping it in water in a little routine. Hannah almost wouldn't stay in the exhibit because it was stinky. It was a lot of fun, though! The train ride and the playground were the biggest hit.

A Hawk in the City

A Hawk was waiting for us with his breakfast (a pigeon) on our front lawn two days ago. Crazy.

Play time

I love Little Red Riding Hood.

We stayed at Shishaw and Papaw's house last week while Corey was in Minnesota. One day we built a fort out of the thousands of table cloths Vicki has. They played in it, but mostly they were sleeping princesses running back and forth in it.

6 Little Girls: 0,1,2,3,4,& 5

At the end of the week the Andersons joined us for two nights. It was so much fun to have them! It gave the girls some new excitement for their last days, which they needed. All 6 of them on the couch is so cute! All 6 of them in a small condo is so crazy! 4 of them on Shishaw's lap is hilarious.

Story Time

The girls got to read A LOT of stories with everyone over the week. They spent a really long time reading Bible stories with Uncle Kevin, which turned into everyone listening to the stories. He reads very well!

Shiloah told Papaw that she did not like his new hairstyle, even though she loves him very much. What do you think?

Daddy and Norah

She took a few days to get comfortable with the sand and the ocean. By the end of our week at the beach she was pretty good, of course. She was quite happy to be escorted by her handsome father into the ocean and get splashed by some of the waves, though.

On the beach

The girls found a HUGE hole that some bigger kids had been working on for a few days and they spent a good amount of time playing in them. They got totally covered in sand! At one point they even built a tunnel in the middle.

On our way to the beach...

Two days after we got home from Fairfax we packed up and left for the beach. This year we went to Topsail Island, but on our way we stopped at the Anderson's new house in Raleigh. Even though the girls haven't seen each other in almost a year it was like they had been playing together all the time! They dressed up, ate lunch, and did all sorts of little things that made a HUGE mess. We got to meet the newest little Anderson girl, Molly, too. Norah was a little disturbed about her mom holding another baby. Shiloah might have taken Molly home with her if we let her! Hannah was sorta indifferent. Eh... But it was so fun to see our friends again!
